[Osm2nds] OSM2Networkdataset

Bamdad
Hello,

I have a question: is this software compatible with Arcgis 10.2 as well? I tried running the application but I got the ERROR: Access to ArcObjects failed: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.esri.arcgis.system.EngineInitializer InitializationException: Therefore the process is canceled.

I was wondering if it is because of that.
Thanks for any help!
Bamdad

Hello Bamdad,

yes, it is also compatible with ArcGIS 10.2.

Could you please send your batch file and your log file? Then I will have a look at these.

Best wishes,
Eva

Hallo Eva,

Thanks for your response! Actually that problem got solved. Now I have another problem:
I'm trying to convert Luxembourg's OSM into shapefile to measure foot accessibility near bus stops. I downloaded the latest Luxembourg's osm from this website: http://download.geofabrik.de/europe.html
But now I get this error when trying to convert:
2014-04-28 14:34:01 ERROR: org.n52.osm2nds.reader.ReaderException: The reading process of the file 'C:\luxembourg-latest.osm' failed:
The file 'C:\luxembourg-latest.osm' could not be unmarshalled. Maybe the file isn't valid.
javax.xml.bind.UnmarshalException
 - with linked exception:
[org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; systemId: file:/C:/luxembourg-latest.osm; lineNumber: 2; columnNumber: 81; cvc-complex-type.3.2.2 : L'attribut 'timestamp' n'est pas autorisé dans l'élément 'osm'.] ReaderException: Therefore the process is canceled.

I was thinking maybe the files on the website are flawed. Is there another source to download OSM file for Luxembourg in that case?
I also send you my batch file attached. I didn't put a log file in GUI though.
Many thanks!
best regards,
Bamdad

Hi Bamdad,

I think, this will solve your problem:

Hello Bamdad,

I also have the following error message:
2014-05-03 15:48:02 ERROR: Access to ArcObjects failed: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.esri.arcgis.system.EngineInitializer InitializationException: Therefore the process is canceled.

How did this problem get solved actually?

I would be very happy if you could help me :)

Hi Michael,

My problem was actually due to the batch file. I had made a mistake in the java location. Maybe you could try relooking at your batch as well and see if you made some mistakes. You could look at mine as I sent it in the previous posts (gisarc.cmd) the addresses should be correct. Hope this helps you!

good luck,
Bamdad
